Nature ProgramsOur Environmental Education department offers nature programs for all ages. Whether you’re looking for summer day camps for kids, an adults-only program on specific flora or fauna, taking a class for credit during our Learn from the Experts series, or are interested in some fresh air and exercise during a nature hike – the Forest Preserve District of Kane County has you covered. For an interactive education experience, visit Tekakwitha Woods Nature Center in St.
Charles. View interpretive displays and exhibits – including an incredible diorama of
the Fox River from under water. Enjoy watching woodland birds while browsing in the
nature library, and more. Children will be drawn to the discovery corner filled with
nature-oriented activities. There’s a lot to see and do at the Nature Center. Naturalists
are typically on hand to answer questions and provide information. Handicap-accessible
restrooms are available.
