white oak Scouts and Community Groups Programs

The Forest Preserve District offers a variety of hands-on environmental education programs for scout and community groups in which participants will explore and experience the natural wonders of Kane County.

You can download the Nature Education Programs brochure to view all programs that are offered along with their descriptions. In addition to the programs listed in the brochure, we offer general discovery hikes as well as specific badge hikes.

The fee for scout and community groups is $2 per person with a minimum of $20.

Scout and community groups are also encouraged to visit the forest preserves as self-guided groups. Self-guided groups must contact the Forest Preserve District at the number below to schedule your group. We have "discovery packs" for loan, which are filled with fun trail-side activities to do during a hike. If you would like to request a discovery pack, please contact us.

For more information or to schedule a program please call 847-741-8350 or email programs@kaneforest.com.

If anyone in the group needs special accommodations to participate in a program, please let us know when you schedule the program.
