Forest Preserve District of Kane County shelters are available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Shelters may be reserved up to 365 days in advance, but no later than seven days prior to an event. Attendance must not exceed the capacity stated on each shelter's amenity page.
Small shelters (capacity of up to 50 people): Reservation fees are $35 per day for Kane County residents; $50 for nonresidents.
Large shelters (capacity of 51-100 people): Reservation fees are $50 per day for Kane County residents; $75 for nonresidents.
Special events require a Special Use Permit Request (see boxes at the bottom of this page to apply). The Special Event Request Form and Certificate of Insurance must be submitted at least 10 business days prior to an event. Larger special events may require Forest Preserve Commission approval, and should be submitted at least 90 days prior to an event.
